There is another solution is making a backward compatible Bootstrap version to work on both BS2 and BS3. The only solution is modifying the Joomla core files. All modules or components views can be override in the template, but you will get a big challenge for rendering Joomla core fields and your Joomla forms: Login, Register, Contact will look weird. You will get lots of problems with the Joomla core.

So, to the questions:ġ) Will Joomla 3.5 upgrade BS3 to its core, or will we have to wait for J4? (I suspect it will be the latter, but i think asking never hurts )Ģ) Assuming that it won't, could I just implement the framework into my template without creating major conflicts? I'm also thinking about possible extensions using removed classes or BS2 markup in general.ġ) There is a battle for this question on Joomla CMS development Google Group, there is no decision for that I think.Ģ) I've implemented Bootstrap 3 to Joomla 3.2 at my website and have some experiences. As far as i know, the current release of joomla implements the 2.3.2, and the new version is not backward compatible with it. I want to create a template from scratch for my website, and I'm intrigued by version 3.0 of Twitter Bootstrap.
